The story so far

Well they only went and shut our bloody pubs didn’t they? Actually we took the decision ourselves the day before the government announced the enforced closures after much soul searching and weighing up of the risks inherent of staying open. It felt like the right thing to do and we were surprised and heartened by the response it received from customers, staff and the general public.

This left us with numerous problems; not least the fact that we had a brewery full of beer and no means to sell it. The thought of tipping the lot down the drain made me sick so I decided to order some bags in boxes fill them up with our ales and flog them to people.

Simple.

It wasn't.

The filling process was hit and miss, and the first few delivery runs were straight from a scene in the Wacky Races. The first one I tried to do from my own knowledge of Torbay with a little help from Google Maps. I remember shouting "I've just been past this fucking house" about five times as I zig zagged Torbay in my Vauxhaull support van. I vowed then to research delivery apps to save my steering wheel from further punishment. That first run ended before I could get to everybody after I decided to throw the towel in when I woke up a paramedic at 10pm trying to get some kip before an early shift.

I'd had a comical image in my head of regular drinkers wandering slowly, aimlessly and thirstily with nothing to fill the void of their mothballed local pubs

Before that chaos I had to somehow let people know what I was selling and how to order. Facebook was the obvious place to start as I had a large friends list due to the pubs' popularity and me chatting shit on there for years. I set up a page and went to write my first post.

I'd had a comical image in my head of regular drinkers wandering slowly, aimlessly and thirstily with nothing to fill the void of their mothballed local pubs which probably explains the opening line to my first post on the Molloy's Delivery Page: "Hello Zombies"

This phrase stuck and people wore the monika with pride. We Zombies now number over a thousand.

If you're here for the first time then you're very welcome. Join in on the Facebook page, enjoy yourselves and maybe order some booze. We're doing our best to bring the best of pubs to you while the doors remain closed.

But until those doors reopen, stay safe, stay sane and let us ease the boredom a little.

We are the resurrection

Welcome to Zombies Inc
